This human resources privacy policy outlines the personal information handling practices for employees and prospective employees of High Tea Delights. We will update this policy when our information handling practices change. Updates will be publicised on our website and through our email lists.

The privacy of your personal information is afforded the highest level of importance by High Tea Delights.
We uphold the principles of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) regarding the manner in which we handle your personal information and how we respond to your requests to access and correct it. While we take careful measures to protect the confidentiality of information provided to us, we have adopted this Privacy Policy to reflect the intentions of the Act. The purpose of collecting information on candidates for employment is to allow us to assess the suitability of candidates for employment at High Tea Delights.
We generally collect your personal information through your submissions on the High Tea Delights website or third-party employment agencies that you have applied through for employment at High Tea Delights.
The kinds of personal information that we collect and hold may include:
• your name, birth date and gender;
• your contact information, including postal and residential addresses, telephone number and email address;
• questions specific to the requirements of the job opening
• your education
• your employment history
• passport and visa details
• academic records, transcripts, enrolment and assessment details
• submitted pictures or video recordings

*Personal or Sensitive information of unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed in a secure manner

Personal information in human resources files
Human resources files collect and hold personal information of employees, consultants and contractors including:
• employee, referee and emergency contact details
• application for employment and supporting documents
• employment contracts, and other records relating to terms and conditions of employment
• proof of Australian citizenship/visa status
• copies of academic qualifications
• records relating to salary, employment benefits and leave
• medical certificates or health related information supplied by an employee or their medical practitioner
• taxation details
• banking information necessary to pay salary and wages
• superannuation contributions
• information relating to employees’ training and development
• information about an employee’s performance.

How we collect and hold personal information relating to human resources
At all times we try to only collect the information we need for a particular function or activity we are carrying out. (Such as for the purpose of recruiting new employees)
The main way we collect personal information about you is when you give it to us. For example, when you apply for a job vacancy at high tea delights, we collect personal information such as contact details and your employment history.
We may also collect contact details of your referees.

Quality of personal information
High Tea Delights maintains and updates personal information in its human resources files as necessary, or when we are advised that the personal information has changed.

Storage and security of personal information
High Tea Delights takes steps to protect the security and confidentiality of personal information it holds. These steps include password protection for accessing our electronic IT system, audit trails of electronic systems and physical access restrictions.
When no longer required, High Tea Delights destroys personal information in a secure manner, in accordance with the Australian Government Administrative Functions Disposal Authority (AFDA).

Disclosure of personal information
High Tea Delights will generally only disclose human resources personal information to a third party entity if you agree, or if we are authorised or required by law.
