Preface:

High Tea Delights is looking for talented individuals to work in a stress free environment, coupled with great potential to grow within the business.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

The Role:
These part time positions have strong potential to become full time as we have ambitious plans. The roles involve medium volume production of upscale cocktail sized sweet and savoury products made from scratch. We have own recipes, but very open to your ideas in the development of new products and concepts. You can work the days/hours that suit you, with option to increase your work hours as demand grows.

You will be responsible for baking pastries, desserts, and other baked goods. You must have a creative flair and an eye for detail, as well as the skills to follow a recipe.

You must be trustworthy, reliable, well organised, and able to solve problems. You’ll also need knowledge of the best ways to bake different pastries and desserts

Qualification requirements:
- Qualifications and/or experience in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts
- Up to date with ingredients and techniques
- Knowledge/Experience with operating a combi oven
- Willing and able to help develop new recipes
- Experience in pastry creams, pastry doughs, chocolate tempering, piping & decorating.
- Monitor stock levels and product rotation
- Basic computer skills
- Inventory Control & Ordering
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen
- Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Knowledge of WHS & Food Safety standards

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

The Role:
The role involves medium volume production of cupcakes and cocktail desserts. We have own recipes but very open to your ideas in the development of new products and concepts. Because you can work the days/hours that suit you, this is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for a part time/casual position doing what they love! Culinary/pastry students can also be great candidates for this role!

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Creativity & talent in piping & decorating
- Experience in cake/cupcake making
- Understanding of different buttercreams
- Up to date with ingredients and techniques
- Experience with using various piping tips
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of food safety & hygiene

Personal Attributes:
- You are reliable and friendly
- You are creative and talented in cake decorating.
- You possess an interest in food and a passion for baking and cake decoration.

Duties:
- Following recipes to make cake batters, buttercream & fillings (All our products are made from scratch)
- Baking cupcakes & cakes
- Piping & decorating cupcakes, little cakes etc...
- Making meringue kisses
- Occasionally fulfilling orders
- Checking stock levels & ordering ingredients
- Managing workflow
- Maintaining standards for food storage, product rotation, quality and appearance.
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness
- No cake customisation is involved. (you will only be decorating our own products)
